2. General information on data processing
This website is a static site with a small PHP front-controller. We use no cookies, no analytics and no external tracking. We process personal data only to the extent necessary for the technical delivery of the site and for communication by email.
3. Hosting by Hetzner Online GmbH
This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The provider processes personal data when the site is accessed (in particular IP address) on behalf of the operator. The legal basis is a data-processing agreement per Art. 28 GDPR.
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (legitimate interest in a technically sound, secure and reliable provision of this website).

4. Server log files
When the site is accessed, the hoster automatically records the following access data in so-called server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the requested file
- Amount of data transferred and HTTP status code
- Browser and operating system used (user agent)
- Referrer (previously visited page)
These data are not merged with other data sources and are not used for personal evaluation. Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days at the latest, unless a concrete suspicion of misuse requires longer storage. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (legitimate interest in operational security and error analysis).
5. Local storage (localStorage)
This site stores your theme preference (dark/light) as a single
entry in the browser's localStorage under the key
webgau-theme, and your language preference under
webgau-lang. The values remain exclusively on your
device and are not transmitted to us. You can clear them at any
time via your browser settings.
6. Service worker (offline cache)
A service worker stores publicly accessible site assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, icons) in the browser cache so that the site also works without a network connection. No personal data is collected or transmitted to us in the process.
7. Contact by email or phone
If you reach out to us by email or phone, we store your information including contact details solely to process your request. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) b GDPR (pre-contractual measures) respectively f (legitimate interest in effective communication). The data are deleted once your request has been conclusively processed and no statutory retention obligations (e.g. under HGB or AO) stand in the way.
8. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise it by the „https://" in the address bar and the padlock symbol.
9. Your rights as a data subject
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
